MSDSs, which is redefined as SDSs under GHS and remain the backbone of HCS and WHMIS
        
        
          compliance. Under GHS, SDSs are presented in a 16 section format with a required ordering of
        
        
          sections. It is essentially the ANSI Standard for SDSs, with a fewminor tweaks.
        
        
          The sections, in order, are as follows:
        
        
          - The Safety Data Sheet plays a prominent role in hazard communication according to the
        
        
          GHS.
        
        
          - The document follows a 16 chapter format with the hazard information, including the
        
        
          labeling information, to be shown in section 2 (Hazard Identification).
        
        
          - In the EU the requirement is to include both the old EU and theGHS classifications during a
        
        
          transition period that expires June 1, 2015.
        
        
          The US MSDS will show the GHS classification in section 2. APAC SDS will follow the local GHS rules,
        
        
          which require minor changes in various sections. Below you will find the updated section 2 and 14
